Radiant Heat
An Overview
Radiant heating controls the rate at which a body loses heat by
turning the floor (ceiling or wall) into a large, low-temperature
radiator. The surfaces surround a person with cozy warmth. Hot
air rises, thus making the space above our heads warm in a
forced hot air heating system. Radiant heat keeps the space
below our heads warm by keeping the heat source (tubing in your floor)
closer to the floor. Less drafts and a more even heating
temperature is produced. Radiant heat is used in floors, walls and
ceilings. Works under almost any type of flooring- tile, marble,
wood, carpet, linoleum and concrete. Radiant heat isn't just for
indoor use. It can be applied to driveways, walkways,
